As i settle down to the realisation that my next expedition to the Arctic circle is just now days away.
Ive trained so hard day after day since november and now the time is up, Preparations have gone to plan, physically & mentally im ready. I’ve been met with incredible honesty & well wishes in my community ,which in those cold dark days the warm feelings of support will warm my heart clearing the mist ahead.
The Donegal flag will fly high and proud in the Arctic circle standing  “The High One” summit of Mt mc mckinley 21,000ft the highest mountain in north america.

clear the mist….Only a person that risks is truly free.

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out is to risk involvement,
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas and
dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return,
To live is to risk dying,
To hope is to risk despair,
To try is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken because
the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing,
has nothing, is nothing.

The pessimist complains about the wind…
The optimist expects it to change..
And the realist adjusts the sails.

Alaska theres a realist Donegal man coming your way.
