Tuesday 7th July a date I ever forget , My first view of K2 ” the savage mountain” and its jaw dropping huge. Only ever seeing the mountain through the eyes of someone else, this mornings a really special view when it’s your own and to have only dreamed of sitting at the base of the second highest mountain in the world with its formidable reputation at the worlds hardest, well to say it’s jaw dropping is an understatement. I’m blessed to sit in the shadows of great leading and inspiring mountaineers that have gone before me. Today I can’t not but think of fellow Irish mountaineer Ger McDonnell. Sitting here myself today in this smallest climbing community as the second Irish man bursting with pride realising the magnitude and power of this moment….. Pictures will never do it justice and the wonder of nature and our creator “Our Lord” that’s moulded this magic for us to enjoy ,thank you…..It’s just breathtaking. Jason
